HRISTMAS TRADING HOURS
Hytile Croydon and Hytile Hallam will close for the Christmas break at lunchtime on Tuesday the 23rd of December, 2008.
We will be open from 7am to 11am on Monday, Wednesday and Friday of the week commencing 5th January 2009, and will resume our normal trading hours from Monday 12th January 2009.
ENCOURAGEMENT FOR THE AUSTRALIAN BUILDING INDUSTRY
If you are a regular television news viewer you will be feeling a little overwhelmed by all the negativity thrust upon us each evening in recent times. Hytile began business more than 44 years ago and over this time we have survived many down turns in the economy and this one will be no exception. It has been our experience that where the building industry goes, so too does the Australian economy, and in spite of all the doom and gloom out there, the building industry remains in very good shape.
The tripling of the First Homebuyers Grant for new home buyers and the matching of that by some builders, are strong measures aimed at encouraging the continuing good health of the Australian building industry in the face of challenging global conditions.
HIA Managing Director, Dr Ron Silberberg says the tripling of the First Homebuyers Grant for new home buyers “will provide an immediate stimulus for new housing and help restore business confi dence across the sector, particularly in the building product manufacturing sector.”
The HIA has stressed the need to boost production of housing by 45,000 new dwellings per annum to meet current underlying demand, and this initiative will provide some assistance in achieving that requirement.
Chief Economist at the HIA, Harley Dale says “An easing monetary policy cycle over the next 12 months will provide both households and businesses with much needed relief on borrowing costs and create an environment where budding first home owners can contemplate dipping their toe in the market”.
TRADE IN YOUR OLD HOIST OR ELEVATOR
Before you put your old workhorse out to pasture consider trading it in on a brand new model with all the improvements of the last 44 years. Many of the old models out there were hard at work even before their current owners were born.
This offer is for December and January only, so bring in your old machine and Gary, Mark or Peter will let you know what it’s worth as a trade-in.
HAVE A LOOK AT HYTILE’S NEW WEBSITE
We have recently launched our new website and invite you to visit www.hytile.com.au to view it.
Along with up-to-date equipment information, pictures and newsletters, you will also be able to have a look at videos showing our machines and equipment in operation.
NMIT APPRENTICE AWARD EVENING
Northern Melbourne Institute of Tafe’s Roof Tiling Apprentice Award evening was held recently at the Epping Campus.
Unlike previous years when all trades were included, teacher Shane Scotson made sure this night was all about Roof Tiling.
Speakers included Andy and Andrew from Supervised Roofing who talked about what it was possible to achieve if the students stuck at it for the long term, and Craig Coghlan from C & L Coghlan Roofing who stressed the importance of looking after the fi nancial side of a business.
The graduating Roof Tile apprentices all received goods supplied by the evening’s sponsors – Hytile, Roof Fixing Supplies and C.S.R. Roofi ng. These same sponsors, along with the Roof Tile Association of Australia, also supplied the major awards for the evening.
I spoke with C.S.R.’s Business Development Manager Lino Del Papa on the night who said that the tripling of the first home owner’s grant for new homes was having a dramatic effect on some builders, who, in contrast to the last few months, were now busy writing up lots of new contracts.
FINANCE A NEW HOIST OR ELEVATOR
For as little as the cost of a slab and a half of beer a week you can lease a new Hoist or Elevator.
Call Cheryl or Faye for further information.
CHRISTMAS HAMPER
All Hytile customers who purchase goods during the month of December will be entered into our annual Christmas draw to win a hamper full of delicious goodies. We will deliver the hamper to the lucky winner’s home in time to enjoy at Christmas.
