Roy Emerson won the Australian Golf Open. Sir Robert Menzies was the Australian Prime Minister.
Films ‘Gold Finger’ and ‘Mary Poppins’ were produced.
‘The Sound of Music’ won the ‘Best Picture’ Academy Award.
Tom Jones sang ‘What’s New Pussycat?.’ Petula Clarke sang ‘Downtown.’
Sonny & Cher sang ‘I Got You Babe.’ The Rolling Stones sang ‘Satisfaction.’
Winston Churchill & Nat King Cole died.
Hogan’s Heroes’, ‘I Dream of Jeannie’, ‘Days of our Lives’ and ‘Lost In Space’ all started on television.
Jack Guthrie began production on the first Hytile Hoist.

To celebrate our 40th birthday Hytile is giving away 40 slabs of beer.
A draw will take place each month from April till the end of the year and 4 lucky customers who have purchased Hytile goods during the month will receive a slab. Eight slabs will be given away in December.
